David Russell, a world-renowned classical guitarist, has earned exceptional accolades for his musical talent and artistry. He won the prestigious Grammy Award for his album Aire Latino, receiving the honor in the category of Best Instrumental Soloist in Classical Music. Russell’s victory streak continued through several international competitions, including the Andrés Segovia Competition, the José Ramírez Competition, and Spain’s esteemed Francisco Tárrega Competition.

David Russell continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his stunning performances in major cities such as New York, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Madrid, Toronto, and Rome. In 2005, the music conservatory of Vigo honored him with a tribute, culminating in the opening of the new auditorium, which was named “Auditorio David Russell” in his honor.

Russell was also named an honorary member of “Amigos de la Guitarra” in 2009, the oldest guitar society in Spain.

A prolific recording artist, David Russell has released seventeen CDs with Telarc International.
