Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash has made the decision to leave the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) due to ongoing security issues. While many artists have recently exited the platform in protest of its owner, Elon Musk, Slash’s departure stems primarily from repeated hacking incidents he has experienced on the site.
In a statement shared on April 8th, Slash informed his followers of the change, stating:
“I’d like to inform you that I’ve decided to step away from Twitter/X and will no longer be active on the platform. This was a considered decision after repeated hacks, and it reflects a shift in how I’d like to stay connected moving forward.
You can still find me on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook where I’ll be posting regular updates.
