Sonny Mayo has officially announced his departure from Snot. In a statement, guitarist Mikey Doling revealed that Mayo’s decision to leave the band was due to the band’s demanding schedule, which no longer aligns with his personal life. Mayo expressed that Snot’s busy schedule was too much for him to manage alongside focusing on his own life.
Doling extended his well wishes to Mayo, thanking him for his contributions to the band over the years. He also added that Snot holds a deep respect and love for Mayo, despite the split.
To fill in for Mayo, Doc Coyle, known for his work with God Forbid and former Bad Wolves, will be stepping in as the band’s temporary guitarist for their upcoming shows. Doling expressed excitement about having Coyle join Snot for the live performances, thanking him for stepping up to help the band during this transition.
