The Silver-Rose Flute Guitar Duo, comprised of flutist Kim Fleuchaus and guitarist Julie Goldberg, is set to enchant and captivate your musical senses. Both Kim Fleuchaus and Julie Goldberg bring a wealth of experience and passion to their performances. They first crossed paths while pursuing music degrees at Northwestern University, and their partnership has flourished ever since.
Dr. Julie Goldberg, recognized as “Classical Guitarist of the Year” by Classical Guitar Alive, boasts an impressive career that includes recitals and masterclasses across the United States and even as far as Vietnam. She imparts her musical wisdom as a faculty member at North Park University and Vandercook College of Music and has authored the instructional book “100 Classical Guitar Lessons.”
Kim Fleuchaus, on the other hand, has graced the airwaves of WFMT and has earned acclaim as a clinician, adjudicator, and instructor. She’s a founding member of the Sapphire Woodwind Quintet and is deeply committed to chamber music and collaboration. Her musical journey led her to the enchanting realm of traditional Arabic music, where she excels on the Egyptian nay and performs with the Chicago Arabic Music Ensemble and the Salaam-Shalom Project.
