Subsequently, the competition will venture to London, with the Royal College serving as the venue from August 26 to August 30.
The culmination of the preliminary stages will manifest in two final contests slated for September. First, the Paris Classic Violin Competition will grace the École normale supérieure stage from September 9 to September 13, followed by the Tel Aviv Classic Violin Competition at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, occurring from September 22 to September 26.
Each of these esteemed competitions will offer a substantial prize fund of €35,000, coupled with an exclusive invitation extended to the top two competitors. These finalists will be granted the opportunity to travel to Dubai in April 2025 to partake in the prestigious Classic Violin Olympus finale, with all expenses covered.
The Classic Violin Olympus Grand Finale, under the artistic direction of Pavel Vernikov and led by President Konstantin Ishkhanov, will showcase the talents of 12 exceptional violinists. This grand event will feature two rounds of performances accompanied by a symphonic orchestra. The coveted First Prize comes with an impressive €200,000 reward from a total prize pool of €310,000. Beyond the financial accolades, the 23-member jury board, consisting exclusively of eminent conductors and directors associated with acclaimed orchestras, festivals, and concert series, will offer select finalists the unique opportunity to perform live on stage at one of their forthcoming concerts.
To partake in this remarkable competition, aspiring violinists can register by visiting the official website of their preferred contest, where they can complete the registration form and submit their audition video.
In a significant departure from tradition, the competition organizers have removed all age restrictions from the registration criteria. This decision was motivated by the overwhelming interest demonstrated by violinists from around the globe and the steadfast commitment to uncovering the finest violinists of our era, irrespective of other factors.
