Alongside this, DW is introducing its innovative wireless acoustic-electronic convertible drum set, the DWe®. The DW Soundworks VST and drum sample library empower drummers to take control of their sound. With an intuitive interface and advanced controls for fine-tuning, this software offers an authentic experience for powering the DWe drum kit or serving as a VST plugin.
DW Soundworks reflects the extensive expertise, creativity, development, and refinement synonymous with DW products. It boasts a comprehensive collection of drum sounds suitable for a wide range of musical styles and genres. DW Soundworks is the go-to solution for accessing DW, Gretsch, and Slingerland drum sounds. The samples capture the genuine tonality of DW drums, offering a realistic audio experience. The core library includes drum kit samples from the DW Collector’s Series® line, such as DW Pure Maple®, DW Maple Mahogany, and limited-edition kits like the DW 50th Anniversary and DW Pure Almond® kits. The library also features a Gretsch USA Custom kit and DW founder Don Lombardi’s personal 1958 Slingerland kit. These samples incorporate 18 dynamic layers per sample and were recorded at the DW factory using high-quality microphones, preamplifiers, compressors, and equalizers.
DW Soundworks embraces customization, aligning with DW’s reputation as a custom drum manufacturer. Users can fine-tune the library’s sound samples using effects like equalization (EQ), compression, reverb, and other processing options, which can be applied to individual drum elements or the entire drum kit. The software supports up to 30 active instruments, offers seamless DAW compatibility, and a library of high-quality DW acoustic drum sounds recorded at 24-bit resolution and a sampling rate of 88.2 kHz. It is compatible with Apple MacOS and Microsoft Windows.
