Castleman, a luminary figure with a prolific career spanning performance and teaching, has made a planned bequest to establish the Charles M. Castleman Endowed Music Scholarship.

Castleman’s musical journey began in the limelight as a child prodigy featured on “The Frank Sinatra Show” in 1951. His exceptional talent blossomed, leading to performances with renowned orchestras worldwide and accolades from prestigious competitions in Russia and Belgium. Beyond the stage, Castleman found his calling in teaching, conducting master classes globally, and contributing four decades of expertise to the Eastman School of Music.

The Charles M. Castleman Endowed Music Scholarship is Castleman’s visionary contribution to the Ever Brighter: The Campaign for Our Next Century, a $2.5 billion campaign by the University, set to conclude in 2025.
