Hollywood actor Scott Eastwood, known for his diverse skill set, recently revealed a lesser-known talent – playing the saxophone. In conjunction with his collaboration with Royal Canin leading up to the 2023 AKC National Championship, where this year’s theme revolves around Unique Abilities, the 37-year-old actor shared his musical prowess.
Eastwood, star of “Wrath of Man,” disclosed to PEOPLE, “Most people don’t know, I do play the saxophone. Not well, but I play it.” This musical inclination is not a newfound interest for Eastwood, who played the saxophone as a child and recently reignited his passion for it.
Attributing his saxophone skills to his parents’ encouragement, particularly his father, legendary actor Clint Eastwood, now 93, Eastwood reminisces about childhood music lessons. “I didn’t play in an orchestra, but I took lessons. My parents had me in music lessons as a kid, quite a lot, whether it be piano or saxophone,” he explained. Though he played into high school, he temporarily set aside the instrument, only to pick it up again recently.
While discussing his familial connection with animals, Eastwood fondly recalls growing up with dogs and the variety of pets that enriched his family life. As he focuses on his rediscovered hobby during the holidays, Eastwood hints at returning to acting in the new year.
“I’ve got to get back to work,” he remarks, revealing upcoming projects, including an action movie scheduled for January and a subsequent drama set in Italy. Despite the chilly February weather in Italy, Eastwood expresses enthusiasm for the film, anticipating a dynamic and fulfilling start to the first quarter of the coming year.
